Plein Air Landscape Oil Painting

Join local artist Phyllis Shafer for a week of plein air exploration in the Sierra Nevada. Open to all skill levels, this workshop focuses on the fundamentals of landscape oil painting, including composition, color theory, color mixing, brushwork and atmospheric perspective. Students will learn strategies for working efficiently in the field and developing paintings that reflect a personal interpretation of nature.
