Wall Hanging Sculptures: Abstracted Representations of the Self

This workshop will explore various hand-building techniques to create ceramic wall pieces. Daily exercises will unlock participant's creativity and generate ideas for artwork. Students will learn different surface decoration techniques with both traditional ceramics materials and mixed media. We will discuss how each element of the composition can convey meaning and communicate our ideas. We will explore a variety of ways to hang pieces on the wall.
