Working with the Problem Employee (in-person)

Learn to identify and analyze employee behaviors that indicate a problem may exist and how to create a more efficient and low-stress work environment for all. Topics include common problem behaviors and interventions supervisors can perform to encourage correction of the difficult behavior. Participants will explore different employee motivations and approaches to conflict through use of the Strength Deployment Inventory assessment.

Key Learning Objectives:
  • Gain the ability to identify employee behaviors indicating a problem may exist
  • Learn interventions to assist in creating a more efficient and low-stress work environment 
  • Explore different employee motivations to aid with effective workplace relationships
This course may be taken independently or applied toward a 10-course certificate in Supervisory Management offered through Extended Studies.

This course has been approved for 6 HR General recertification credit hours for the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and 6 PDCs for the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
