Selecting the best qualified applicant is easier when you have the knowledge and tools to conduct interviews that give you the most pertinent information available. This course will address the basics of one-on-one interviews, panel interviews and interviews for front-line/supervisory personnel. Legal issues regarding interview questions you can and cannot ask, as well as assessment tools to use in order to ensure a successful hire also will be discussed. Written exercises and role playing will be used to demonstrate interviewing techniques.

  • Gain an understanding of the importance of the interviewing process to the success of an organization
  • Master the basics of several interviewing techniques
  • Develop a strategy for consistently hiring the best qualified applicants
This course has been submitted for 6 HR General recertification credit hours for the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and 6 PDCs for the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
