Retention Tactics That Work is an interactive, fast-paced three-hour workshop designed for leaders, HR professionals and managers who want to understand why employees stay — or leave — and what organizations can do to strengthen retention in today’s evolving workplace.

Participants will explore modern turnover trends, evaluate the true cost of employee loss and learn practical tools that build commitment, motivation and engagement across diverse generations. Through hands-on exercises, discussion, assessments and real-world examples, learners will leave with actionable strategies they can implement immediately to improve the employee experience and reduce avoidable turnover.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
  • Analyze the financial and organizational impacts of turnover using practical calculation tools and trend insights.
  • Apply effective feedback mechanisms — including exit interviews, stay interviews and employee surveys — to diagnose root causes of retention issues.
  • Implement four major retention tools that create meaningful work, supportive management, work–life alignment and personalized benefit options.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value employee perks that suit their organization’s culture and workforce needs.
  • Use a flight-risk assessment framework to recognize early warning signs and proactively intervene to retain key talent.
This course has been approved for 3 HR General recertification credit hours for the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and 3 PDCs for the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
