Building a Talent-Ready Organization: A Practical Workshop on Talent Review and Succession Design (short course)

This hands-on workshop equips leaders with the tools and techniques to evaluate talent consistently, make succession planning decisions and translate insights into actionable employee growth and development plans. Participants will learn how to use the 9-Box talent grid, facilitate calibrated talent discussions and build targeted growth plans that align with organizational needs.
The session also introduces a practical framework for succession planning by identifying critical roles and assessing employee readiness. Through guided exercises, small-group practice, and practical templates, leaders will leave with clear next steps to develop talent bench strength and accelerate employee growth.
Who should attend:
People managers, HR partners and functional leaders responsible for performance, development and workforce planning.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
Understand
the purpose of talent reviews and how they support organizational growth and workforce planning.
Use
the 9-Box Talent Grid to assess employee performance and potential consistently.
Participate in and facilitate
effective, objective and calibrated talent review discussions.
Translate
talent review insights into practical, actionable employee development plans.
Identify
critical roles and assess successor readiness using a basic succession planning framework.
Apply
talent review and succession outcomes to guide ongoing development and annual planning.
